Aztec youth become champions for nature and play a major role in
fighting for sustainability.
Biography: Gerard
Ungerman began his career in the military as an officer in France
before deciding to become a journalist and a documentary filmmaker to
initially expose the war industry. Some of his hard-hitting
documentaries include: Hidden Wars of Desert Storm, The Oil
Factor Behind the War on Terror and Plan Colombia: Cashing-In
on the Drug War Failure. In 2012, Gerard decided with his partner
in love and crime Stacey Wear to launch a massive ongoing project to
document acts of kindness and respect throughout America to counter a
climate of fear, exploitation and hopelessness: RESPECTFUL
REVOLUTION. A lifelong motorcycle-aficionado, Gerard now crisscrosses
the US on his motorbike, interviewing people doing good for the world
and putting out hundreds of free short videos online meant to uplift
and inspire others into taking similar actions.
Stacy
Wear received a BA in
information & communication studies from CSU Chico. After living
for two years in Japan and six on the island of Maui, she and her two
daughters now call Chico home. When her partner, Gerard, a twenty
year resident, was prevented by US Immigration from returning home in
2010, her combination of life experiences culminated with the “Bring
Gerard Home” fundraising and legal campaign. She most recently
worked as music director at her community radio station, KZFR 90.1
FM. Dedicated to promoting love, kindness and respectfulness, Stacey
is a passionate co-founder of the Respectful Living Institute.
