Tracing the thoughts of three seventeen-year-old girls and their authentic environment, the film builds a story about the adolescent drama of growing up in a society that promotes aggression, alienation, profanity, hopelessness and social autism. Adopting as its title the term Chill Out, the film embodies the prevailing attitude of the new generation bred on a mix of Grand Production and MTV and seeks the answer to the question: What are current generations like and whose merit are they?
Biography:
Olivera Milos Todorovic founded the art group ShockART in 1992. She has directed several short documentaries and published the book The Shock is Spreading. In 1994 she was granted full membership to the Association of Film Artists of Serbia. From 1997 to 1999 she was a journalist and editor for FreeB92 radio and film productions. Olivera directed the television series Info Udar (Media Center Production), Sofa (ShockART Production), Life Live for the FIA Art Group, Moving for the British Council and Filter (RTS production). In addition, she was a jury member for the domestic competition program at the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival in 2006. Olivera received an investigative journalism award for her documentary The Tree of Life.
