Description:

Credible Fear is a short documentary about the struggle that West African asylum seekers go through on their way to the United States through Latin America. The film focuses on Sam Kwesi, a Ghanaian asylum seeker who fled his country when his father was murdered in a religious conflict. Sam is now in Louisiana, where he is awaiting trial.

Biography:

Caron Creighton is a graduate of the 2019 master's of journalism program at the University of California, Berkeley, where she focused on video and photography. She currently works as a Digital Producer for the San Francisco Chronicle. She spent the summer of 2018 as the General Assignment Intern with the Associated Press in Jerusalem, where she produced a project on the struggles faced by Eritrean migrants in Israel for the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.

Walker Dawson, born and raised in San Francisco, has spent the past few years working as a freelance photojournalist and documentary videographer in Latin America. He is a graduate of the 2019 master's of journalism program at the University of California, Berkeley, where he focused on video and photography.
