Biography: Valerie Red-Horse Mohl, a filmmaker of Cherokee ancestry, is the owner/founder of Red-Horse Native Productions, Inc. Red-Horse Mohl’s body of work spans over two decades of film and television content creation and production. Red-Horse Mohl has produced, directed and written over a dozen award-winning films and television programs including, Naturally Native, True Whispers: the Story of the Navajo Code Talkers, Choctaw Code Talkers, Pop Hunter’s Dew Drop Inn, Diversity in the Delta, My Indian Summer and Beauty. Red-Horse Mohl is a member of the Directors Guild and Screen Actors Guild and was inducted into the NAWBO Hall of Fame.
Gale Anne Hurd is a producer of Academy Award-winning films and Emmy-winning programs that shatter box office and ratings records. Hurd’s career as a producer was launched when she produced and co-wrote The Terminator. This success was quickly followed by Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and The Ghost and the Darkness. She has also produced two other documentaries on Native American subjects, True Whisperers: The Story of the Navajo Code Talkers and Choctaw Code Talkers. Hurd is an executive producer on The Walking Dead as well as the AMC companion series, Fear the Walking Dead. Hurd was awarded the prestigious David O. Selznick Award for Achievement in Motion Pictures by the Producers Guild of America and received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
