Biography:
Kylie Zarmati grew up in California and has spent a
significant portion of her life in Baja, Mexico. After finishing High
School, she took a trip to East Africa that unearthed her love for
adventure and served as a catalyst for her filmmaking and photography
career. Over the last eight years, Kylie has traveled to diverse
areas of the world filming for NGOs and creating independent films.
She has a deep passion for human rights and the environment, and
focuses the bulk of her work on addressing the factors that threaten
their preservation. Kylie has an academic background in the study of
global studies and a master’s degree in International Human Rights.
Kylie is dedicated to using film and photography as a medium for
telling stories that would otherwise be overlooked. She believes that
there is no better way at showcasing life than through a picture,
whether still or moving.
