They rent uHaul trucks to deliver extra food from farms to their local food bank that is on the verge of closing its doors. Biography:
Owen Dubeck is a documentary filmmaker, specializing in telling stories that drive tangible change. His films have raised over one million dollars for social causes, influenced legislation, and have been screened to audiences across the country. Owen’s films include Free to Care and Paperboy Love Prince Runs for Mayor. He has also worked on The Undocumented Lawyer, The Urchin Diver and Five Years North.
ChrisTemple is a film director and the founder of Optimist. He is best known for directing the documentaries Living On One Dollar, Salam Neighbor, and Five Years North. His films have been released globally by Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and PBS and have premiered at Tribeca, DOCNYC, AFI Docs, and MountainFilm. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Variety, and the Atlantic and has helped raise over 91 million dollars for poverty alleviation and refugee support efforts.
Zach Ingrasci is a director and the co-founder of Optimist. Best known for documentaries Living On One Dollar and Salam Neighbor, Zach’s films have been released by Netflix, Amazon Prime, National Geographic, and HBO. Zach was named on HBO’s 40 under 40 list and he premiered his newdocumentary, This Is Not Financial Advice, at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Jenna Kelly is the producer of the feature documentary Five Years North, which won the Grand Jury Prize at DOC NYC and was also a finalist for the duPont-Columbia Awards for Outstanding Journalism. She also produced the award-winning documentary The Undocumented Lawyer which was released on HBO. Recently, she co-produced an animated history short narrated by Tom Hanks.
