Biography:
Peter Porta is a writer, director and editor with a strong visual approach who works directing documentaries, TV shows, commercials and global campaigns for well renowned channels, brands and agencies. Peter has also an extensive background working as a cinematographer. He directed two episodes of the awarded docuseries Against All Odds for the Olympic Channel, aired globally on NBC, Eurosport and beIN. Clients and channels include Diesel, Zara, Olympic Channel, Eurosport, beIN sports, NBC, Volkswagen, Asics, Bershka, Heineken and others.
Carles Brugueras began his career as an actor after studying at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. Later, he worked in advertising, managing production and directing post-production for various Barcelona production companies until 1997 when he founded Polar Star Films. As Executive Producer of the company he successfully combines commercial and independent production.
Marieke van den Bersselaar leads the documentary department of Polar Star Films.Experienced in working in Spanish documentary, fiction and animation productions, she joined the Polar Star Films team in 2012. Marieke is responsible for the international financing of documentaries and for the artistic guidance of the creative team during production.
Fabrice Estève is a creative and Executive Producer of Films, Documentaries, New Media productions and Magazine shows. Fabrice is an experienced producer with 20+ years, 120 hours of documentaries produced, and a strong track record in international co-production. Since 2012 he runs Yuzu Productions, together with Christian Popp, focusing on creative documentaries in all genres. Recent productions include Becoming Cary Grant (Cannes), the theatrical docs - Free to run, The Race to Dope, The E-Waste Tragedy, The Bloody Truth. He is also a co-founder and the current president of the French association of science producers and president of the Pariscience film festival, and one of the founders of the sport & film club.
