indictment. In almost all conflict and crisis regions in the world,
people are now using their smartphones to document events. And older
crimes can be reconstructed using satellite imagery. The documentary
shows how state-of-the-art technology helps uncover these crimes
worldwide.
Biography: Anja Reiss is an
emerging documentary filmmaker with a background in science
journalism. She worked as researcher and journalist for local
newspapers and radio stations, before she went on to study an MA in
Film Directing of Education and Science Film at the Filmakademie
Baden-Württemberg. Her documentaries have been screened on several
festivals and won a few awards. For her animation project The Lost
Devonian she got 2011 a Karl-Steinbuch Scholarship. Anja is
currently working as a freelancer specialized in social and science
journalism for German TV broadcasters like arte, ZDF, SWR 3Sat,
Phoenix and MDR. Additionally she develops and realizes documentary
cinema projects.
