Forty years devoted to the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism have made Matthieu Ricard, a courier between East and West. Scientific, Buddhist monk, French interpreter for the Dalai Lama, photographer and author of texts on Buddhism and meditation, Matthieu Ricard is today one of the world. Matthieu Ricard spends indeed much of his time on humanitarian projects in India and Nepal. He regularly participates in scientific studies on the effect of meditation on the brain. He is a man of his time, putting his knowledge and his humanist philosophy for the well-being and vitality of the greatest number. Matthew devotes all of its copyrights and profits of his lectures to more than one hundred humanitarian projects he has created in the Himalayan regions - clinics, schools, orphanages, retirement homes and care for the elderly, bridge construction, vocational training and safeguarding the Tibetan cultural heritage
Biography:
Born in Paris where she still lives nowadays, Jeanne Mascolo always had an intense passion for journeys. At the age of twenty-four, she set off in holidays with a friend. Destination: the East. Means: hitchhike. She discovers India and above all the infinite landscapes of Himalaya and the Tibetan culture. This love with the land and the Tibetan culture will change her life. She designs, organizes and supervises tours and expeditions in Asia and particularly in the Himalayas and Tibet.
